I suppose introductions are needed. My name is Shannon, and I am a wife and mother.
I currently stay at home to a little blond curly-headed sweetie, Evan. We are fortunate call the beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina, our home.
I figure my first blog post should address the reasons why I am beginning a blog --
As a young(ish) mom, I find that I often feel overwhelmed. There is just so much to pack into every day. I feel pulled in many different directions, but having a creative outlet allows me to recharge and be a better mom. For a long time, especially while I was a work outside the home mom, I felt very guilty about spending any time doing anything not centered around my son. I still struggle with making enough time for myself to pursue my dreams and passions, but I am beginning to learn it will actually make me a much more balanced and happy mama. I hope this blog will help me fulfill the promise to myself to continue to strive for balance and slow down to enjoy all that life has to offer.
